Hey animals can be amazing for mental health even if you're homeless. I've seen homeless people treat their dogs and cats better than some people with homes

Cats might be different because they don't really give a shit as long as you feed them. But dogs are dependent and if they are not fed or given exercise will be miserable. Most people give their pets cheap slop that barely covers their nutritional needs.

The best pet would be either a cat or a rat something that can easily survive independently and not rely on human support.

Check yourself into a place where you’ll be held accountable daily for ua’s and your behavior etc until you can build a healthy network and life again. No shame in asking for help.
