My two questions become, does this open the straight and what does this do to Iran/Pakistan relations.

As far as i'm aware, there hasn't been direct communications between USA and iran. Pakistan has been doing the middle man communicating.

What's generally stopping the ships from exiting the strait is the insurance clubs who has refused coverage for passage.
With a ceasefire in place i do believe insurance clubs will allow, under coverage, for ships to transit the strait.
Yes Pakistan has mediated, and has invited iran and us diplomats to Pakistans capital, Islamabad, on 10th of april for negotiations to end the conflict entirely.

its expected to be reopened soon under supervision of Irans military - this was the prerequisite for the ceasefire

friday leaders will meet in pakistan to discuss a permanent end to the conflict which allegedly will be centered around Iran's terms



i sincerely hope Israhelll/Netanyahu dont sabotage this shit again., its time for some real god damned peace

Why did they have to die? They died for Israel's war. The war that you and a ton of other neocon jewish aligned sycophants were just cheering on - which would have led to ALOT more Americans dying.

So now my predictions are coming true. Continuing war in Iran is political suicide - if this off-ramp holds up, with all sanctions on Iran lifted, this is a massive win for America and the world at large.

Of course it would be a massive loss for Israel - there is no ceasefire deal on their end, and they continue their war of aggression against Iran. If they don't surrender, and fast, Israel will be reduced to rubble by neverending waves of missile barrages.

A lot more Americans dying? Doubtful. I mean tally up the deaths on each side and get back to me.
