i see roadkill every day, I've seen hundreds of dead humans
but this particular roadkill was.... just there
and i realized: that's it
that's literally it
this animal is dead, forever
every fly I've swatted, it was over for them in that moment
their existence ceases
there is no heaven, no hell
just nothingness forever
