how about we settle this debate once and for all:

1) someone who is the advocate of arioc and obsession post their BEST build for their weapon of choice.
2) i will post best (IMO) build for insight

we run it through maxroll and look at the dmg per sec, which incorporates the cast speed, double dmg, etc, along with hp, and resistances

We all know the char is broken. Hence the reason why obsession is the best choice, it provides the most flexibility in the build to reach every breakpoint and resists in the easiest way as well as still 1 shotting everything.

Still doesn't one shot P8 T5 Heralds, the faster you kill them and their pack, the safer it is. Did you know T5 herald's minions are also beefed up?
Heralds should be the sole reason for a warlock at all. All other areas are covered by way more effective builds.

I prefer Insight. If you want to be as efficient as possible and not spend a ton you go insight for sure.

Other weapons are just as good, but require significantly more investment to reach the same level of power. The QoL from meditation aura is really nice too. Not having to use pots when teleing long distances just doesn't make sense to give up for me, considering you might, at the very peak of performance, lose a few percentage points of overall effectiveness.

Obsession is just not for me cause I don't like staffs. I think they look stupid.

Aeoric is for sure a bait. Technically the highest damage by 1-2% but you lose fcr and med aura.

TM fort is for sure the best weapon choice, if you don't mind using mana pots / rejuvs for mana from time to time.

Insight is just God tier for ES. The O skill critical strike is insane, really nice base damage, fcr, med aura, super fucking cheap. The only shitty thing about insight is you need to have some pretty good rares to compensate for resists.

The damage differences are so small that you really should just pick your weapon based on utility and aesthetics.

For me the utility of insight makes it bis for me, but I think the objectively best is TM Fort
