Just thought I would share a little observation I made recently. Between short TZ’s I went ahead and mapped out a couple other areas, not killing anything just zipping through. Well, after one of those areas became terrorized, I went back to kill stuff. The monsters had already been activated when I zipped through and they did not convert to terrorized monsters. So, I wasted a potential TZ by trying to map it out ahead of time.

That's interesting. I wonder if the result is different for using a shard vs. a zone becoming terrorized due to the rotation.

Hmm, I don’t know about that scenario. I’m willing to test it in one area tomorrow.

If you scout an area ahead of time and use a shard the monsters won’t be TZ

Okay, no more scouting like that

But I did observe the opposite as well. I did not clear all of nihlathak temple in one round, went back a little bit later and found the monsters I had activated were still terrorized.

Yeah, I knew the opposite was true, but I had been wondering about the situation in your original post. Good to know so I don't waste part of a shard in the future.
