This is on steam, shouldn't it be instant? Asking cause if its the same as battle.net. I might just make my own purchase.

Only instant if the owner already owns a gifted copy in there inventory.
Edit Usually when a sale is on multiple copies will be purchased that way when sale ends they can instant trade for a profit.

Try one of the market place sale games for keys, cs-go or team fortress you can find cheap keys and sell on steam marketboard for currency

For games there is no wait time. For balance it's 3 days.

So if someone logged onto my account today I have no security? I just add this random person and send all my stuff to him In 30 minutes?
