Yeah i don't know why that place is so bad. It's full of people that struggle even in nightmare and rage they can't have loot pinatas.
now i understand better why d3 and d4 are... whatever they are
on topic, the d2r community on reddit is mostly :
- a LOT of people playing the game in single player with limited knowledge and experience about the actual depth of the game
- noobs cosplaying as oldschoolers ("look at this jah/griffon/shako, first time i've dropped one in 20 years of playing!" [has played a grand total of 200h over 20 years, 180 of which in d2r])
- idiots cosplaying as experts ("grief is always BM in pvp" is a very popular one, then you get downvoted to hell for pointing out their bullshit)
- bonus category : showoffs looking for attention ("i bought this eth rep fools 2s 40ias axe for 5 jah, did i make a good deal ?" [they bought it for 40k fg on jsp the day before])
makes sense they're kind of intimidated by the community of veteran and knowledgable players that is jsp, especially considering how toxic we can be (well maybe a little less today but in my time very much so)
i also believe a good portion of d2r players played path of exile before that, which had a VERY strict no-jsp policy as it was considered RMT, and maybe carried over their resentment towards jsp when d2r came out.
they're cranky that using jsp can give you an unfair advantage to start a ladder, but giving resources to a streamer or a clan member is no different. d2 has no SSF mode, deal with it.
jsp is like the older brother clowning the young brother and friends (reddit) ofc they dont like jsp
this is actually very accurate lol
