I live in a low cost of living state top 3 in lowest.
70-80k solo right now hourly, also ups with overtime and double time, not including side projects looking to expand to ~150-160k here in the near future with dual income.
I'm handicapped a bit for paying for my fiance's college, but it's a an investment for the both of us.

I'm the head greeter at Walmart! I make sure to check everyone's receipts and if they aren't walking out of my Walmart with a smile on their face, I ask them how their shopping experience was and what we can do to make it better for them next time. Then I promptly take their considerations straight to the store manager

People can legally just ignore you as you have no authority to keep people from leaving the store. If they have paid for their items they can just leave. There are also cameras that catch thieves before they even get to you.
