the shop i work at needed to hire a new guy. after a few applied my boss told me what they were getting paid at their jobs. she is new to being a body shop manager so she didnt know i was underpaid either.

i get paid by how much work i get done. i work around 35 hours a week but do 80-85 hours worth of work a week.

just got a $6 dollar an hour raise. $6 x 80-85 hours a week is a noticeable difference.

now i can afford ham on my mayonnaise sandwiches.

i get paid for the 80 hours worth of work i do even though i actually work 35. my raise is on the work i do not my time spent.

so 6 is more like 13 an hour raise.
