I’m currently using Eth Fortitude THUNDERMAUL, kind of wanted to try out a different weapon for my ES LOCK for the heck of it. I tried insight and obsession.

I can hit 125fcr on either or

Botd or doom for max damage?

doom gives +2sk 20ds and cold aura
botd ~+40ed 30stats life and mana leech

Best is insight.

You think insight is best damage wise you’re saying?

D2 is not only about reaching the biggest damage on the screen. But anyway insight can easily give you more than 60% critical chance, wich will increase your damage A LOT. Even if it's not displayed in the character screen. It also gives you 35fcr, high base damage and free mana.
With just one weapon you are leaving free a lot of item slots, to use whatever you want to improve.

this , just imagine the cs value u see on insight show as 48% to deadly strike ( and scalable up to 66% with + skill )

and this havent include what 35% fcr can do by freeing up multiple options in other gears + meditation aura

thats all fine, but the question was doom or ebotd preference, lol. Wanting to try for the hell of it.

if between this 2 , i would say doom is better

About damage between these two i would say, without doing numbers, that those +2sk 20ds makes doom do more damage.

imo insight (archon or shillelagh)> fort > arioc > doom > botd
