A youtuber told me to save a character to beat baal for the quest drops. Do y'all take the time to do this? I tried for a bit, and the drops were decent but not goldy and I recently returned for rotw and forgot and killed baal. Is it worth it to have a character for quest drops? Baal? meph? Andy? ...Fuckin' Dureil?

Best in slot is a Shako.

Best in MF is a quest glitched Portal Barb.

Short answer is yes. Long answer is No. Practical answer is maybe.

I did this with Diablo for a ladder and I've done it with baal. If you're grinding P8 runs and keeping up with the kill speed of whatever other run is in the game, then this works pretty decently. For Diablo runs I was seal pop tricking -> diablo kill -> look around -> LK -> back to A4 only went to LK if I thought I had time.

I personally thought my results were better. I could see it working decently with mephisto, however the run is too short and limits versatility and top end loot.

Duriel and Andy make less sense IMO though I could see some use in a separate one per act TZ farm optimization maybe and with the new stuff released it might help? Not sure how all that works as I"m not currently playing.

baaling for loot has NEVER been a good answer in d2 the runs just take way too long compared to killing tz areas or even regular chaos

Your sorc need Meph Q.
Make a game on your secondary laptop with a character who has completed Meph Q
Join with Sorc and kill Meph. Infinite Quest drop with lotsa rares.

So whatever special properties baals quest drop table has just doesn't outweigh the volume and efficiency of TZ farming?
