Donald Trump has set a 48 hour deadline - open the Straight - or else.
Iran would be stupid to comply.

So Donald will have two options.

Option 1: Do nothing - and be seen as weak - not happening.
Option 2: Bomb Iran and escalate the war - more unpredictability in the short term, and more permutations of oh shit moments.

One of the key problems with this conflict is that it is not just the US that is at war with Iran, it is Israel as well, and it must be acknowledged that Israel wants to escalate the conflict and is likely to pull the US along for its own reasons (security concerns etc). Happy for this to be acknowledged/discussed.
