Rule #12 states: No binaries, hacks, bots, exploits, or unauthorized third party modifications of any game or program.

But then we have a particular "Friendly Kunthaus Bot Shop" over at D2:R RotW Hardcore Ladder Trading posting daily with restocks of 10+ HR in Bers, Jahs. Hundreds of Worldstone Shards. Multiple copies of incredibly rare uniques. Things that is not humanly possible unless have an army of people all playing 24/7 and 7 days a week. There is no way it isn't just a straight up demonstration of botting results.

It's bs that cunts like them tank the price of anything valuable by flooding the market with clearly botted/duped items so that when a legit player finally finds something like that, it's almost worthless.

Because you're interpreting the rules how you want to. Botters are allowed to sell all they want. Even admit to botting. What's not allowed is teaching people how to bot or discussing botting specifics.

I don't follow this.

How is one meant to interpret or understanding this then?

No binaries, hacks, bots, exploits, or unauthorized third party modifications of any game or program.

It would seem to directly contradict:

Botters are allowed to sell all they want. Even admit to botting.

Please elaborate.

I don't run the website. I don't even agree with it. That's just how they setup the rules here. It would be silly of them to completely ban botting when that's what this website was created to do.

First, not all are “botters” some are resellers.

Second, as mentioned it’s the discussion/posting/linking that’s against the rules.

Third, without botting d2 Java script parser would have never existed.

well, the issue is a lot of these guys aren't the users themselves.. they are people who buy from them wholesale and re-sell etc so how would you ever actually know who is doing what

Also your items that, assuming you play legit, would also be "cheap" now as a result. Harder to feel excited/chuffed about finding an item if its just made worthless because botters flood the market with it.

As far as the rules say, it doesn't go as far to specify "only the discussion of", it just says: No binaries, hacks, bots, exploits, or unauthorized third party modifications of any game or program.
