Hey guys, searching for some wisdom and guidance once again :)

I heard the jewel bug is still in the game…

For those who don‘t know it: if you gain a jewel with min/max damage + %ed, the ed is bugged and only effects the min/max damage on the jewel and nothing else. Making protectors stones ed always bugged if not socketed in a weapon.

Now what I‘m unsure off: Does this bug also effect other sources of ed% from items it’s socketed in ?
For example: If I put a protectors stone in an Ars Dul Mephisto , wich already has ed%… will the jewel bug only effect the ed from itself or will it also bug out the native off-weapon ed from the item ??

My situation: I‘m running an 125fcr echoing strike build with ariocs needle (2/20 amu, 2x fcr ring, to gloves, arach , circlet, Ars Dul Mephisto)

At the moment I have 3 items to put the stone in: Ariocs (currently Lo inside) , a 3/20 2os circlet or my mephistos.

Now if I put it in mephistos , I’m scared it bugs my ed% on it, too.

I wanted to put it in the circlet but it’s 2os and I would like a second 40ed/smth jewel in, wich May also get bugged if it’s in the same item…

Only place its not bugged would be ariocs. But I would loose 20% deadly Strike, since I loose my Lo rune, , dropping from 85ds to 65 (arioc+ gores)

Realy not sure where to put it.

Maybe it would be worth to put in arioc , 65 deadly strike + levitation crit may be enough when it means I get more base damage on arioc + the option of 2 more 40%ed jewels on my helmet.

If my assumption is correct the only other option would be putting it in my helmet with another thing that doesn‘t grand ed. Guess I would go Ber/ist + Stone then

What do you guys think ???

Thanks in advance <3

It will ruin ALL the ED given from the item itself. That ED already on your Ars Dul Mephisto will now also ONLY apply to the damage given from the Guardian Jewel.

Adding you since you'd like to know as well.

Putting the new jewel into an item like this would be the worst place to put it, unfortunately. Even though that shield on the build seems like a no-brainer to put it in.

Please ignore every humble brag in the following:

I played the new lad as Warlock and was 99 in 9 days. I have a full-time job, and I didn't miss date nights with the hubby.

Weapon of choice? Ondals (This is where I put my stone, 20% exp gain total with anni). Weapon I'd have used if not going for 99? Obsession. +4 skill 65% Fcr life/res
I did 80k dmg with both of those weapons. Having a high-damage weapon is a trap I've been talking about BEFORE the ladder reset, and I've received so much flame/pushback on it.

Think of Echoing WL as a caster -- Like a FB sorc, for example.
+ skills give you damage! And Fire Facets give your spell more damage!

Only your spell does physical damage, and instead of +5% damage max from a facet... You can put on a Phoenix and add up to 400% damage to your spell instead, because that ED calculates on your SPELL damage. (Like a facet would to fire/cold/light damage)
This is why you can do 400k+ Damage with your spell.

80k Dmg 1 shots everything. Going for more damage over fcr/life/res means you have small dick energy and you're compensating.

Interesting …..

Guess I would go for helmet socket then :)

But I can get to 125 fcr with ariocs +4 skills, too. max resist more screen damage and close to 100% deadly strike.

You just need sick amu and rings + 7/5 small charms :D

It is bugged.

However the -10 enemy res is the most important anyway.

Got a 2 os helm. Just gonna make sure I don’t add another ed jewel.

Ber/Stone it is.

Turns out the jewel is always bugged as long as it is not socketed in a weapon.

So just beware to NOT put it anywhere with native ed% (like Ars Mephisto) or it will bug that ed too.

If you don’t put it in a weapon just go for max -enemy res and high mf and it will totally be worth it . Just take a low ed one to stay as cheap as possible.

Considering putting it in ariocs , there the min/max AND Ed% work.
But I can hardly see it being better than 20% ds from a Lo rune….
Would drop from 85 ds to 65….
Not sure if it’s worth it …. It may be, considering that warlock also gets a bunch of crit from Levitation master…
That would also free my helmet to add two 40% ed jewel for 80% more of-weapon ed.

Might actualy be worth it …. 80% of ed + 10-30 dmg and 50% ed on eth ariocs vs 20% deadly strike….

Yeah… as Long as you have no weapon that can make use of it , you will never get the Ed.

Just be sure to not mix it with any items that have innitial ed on them to not loose even more.
