Catholic church only gets attention because it's a big org. Baptists and other southern evangelicals are just as bad about it, and everybody in town knows it, but there's less of a centralized authority to focus on. I personally try not to assume what way somebody leans. I would prefer everyone be able to meet in the middle of any issue that is considered wrong and evil.
