Netanyahu denied Christ to the world yesterday. For those that did not see it, here is a clip:

For those who follow eschatology, does this fit in at all with the end of times predictions? I think I recall something about Jesus Christ being denied on the world stage.

In any case, this is just one example of many of the differences in perspective about right and wrong between Christians and Jews. The old covenant, vs the new.

I know where I stand. Do you?

People have denied christ on the world stage since the dawn of time. more non-christians than christians. why are you surprised that someone who doesnt believe in your prophet would compare him to other historical figures, the same way you might deny that the japanese emperors were living descendants of the sun goddess.

not a fan of this war criminal but if you watch the actual speech you'd realize he was comparing jesus (moral) to genghis khan (amoral or immoral) and saying that christian morality didnt save them from the mongols. hes saying that if you dont have the power to assert your view of morality it doesnt matter how just you feel it is, it will be erased by whichever group can exert power over u

for it to line up with the end of times that would mean Netanyahu would be the antichrist, and thats not possible because he's dead.

They hate Jesus and all Christians.
Why else do you think they had him and his followers killed?

It is only Judaeo/Christian to you, never to them.
Here they are spitting on a church.

it is quite dangerous to both invoke Christ for political aims, and it is also dangerous and highly inflammatory to debate the merits of said strategy while assigning a binary view to religious groups. The statement, above, is problematic, it is in fact Antisemitic. You speak of "perspective about right and wrong between Christians and Jews" however there are people all over the planet, Christian, Jewish, other, each with their own views and perspectives about right and wrong, it is not right to label an entire religion (and everyone that falls under that religion) to a binary perspective.

Throughout the Israeli thread, everyone for the most part was careful to frame it as : we do not like what is happening in Gaza / the West Bank, as done by the Israeli Government. <<-- This is safe.
What was not said (or if it was said, it should have been sanctioned: we do not like ALL JEWS because of what is happening in Gaza / the West Bank, as done by ALL JEWS. <-- This is Antisemitic.

Noting most everyone knows my views on the conflict in Israel, I felt it behooved me to make this statement, in order to stress the dangers of the above argument.

>man makes argument
>people willfully misrepresent argument
>people repeat the above, except now out of context
okay

It is literally the point he made: “A morally superior civilization may still fall to a ruthless enemy if it does not have the power to defend itself.”
is that not hard to understand

The Moriori tribe of the Chatham Islands were a strictly moral culture that adopted a code of absolute pacifism. The Maori invaded and killed, tortured, raped and ate them in no particular order, a cannibalistic genocide that wiped out 95% of their population. Because the Moriori not only did not have the military power to fight back, but conscientiously chose to follow the law of Nunuku and would rather be killed than kill. As Netanyahu explained in terms only a moron could misinterpret, Christian martyrdom does not stop a genocide against your people. No amount of turning the other cheek prevents your people from being wiped out by someone trying to kill you all.

Idk what this even means, im not arguing that Christianity wasnt an important (albeit dying) social movement. I was just pointing out hes actually doing the opposite of what OP implied, as in hes not using these two as a point of comparison but rather a point of contrast. So rather than him saying "jesus is the same morally as the nazis" hes saying that christian morality didnt protect europe from said group. Instead it was their willingness to fight for their beliefs (including christianity) that ensured they would be preserved.

Thanks for the confirmation that you are not a follower of Christ, Mr. Shill.
