• elemental resists are pretty irrelevant beyond cold immune stopping slow and poison immune preventing their regen disabling, the actual damage is irrelevant
  
• all bound demon hp becomes astronomical with max blood oath and you can full juv them with engorge
  
• the only damage heralds or pvm in general can deal that can threaten anything is physical, and venom lords only have 50% base dr and stone skin won't make these guys immune
  
• venom lord AI sucks and runs awkwardly around targets, doesn't melee much and stuns itself by channeling inferno for 0 damage (but at least it applies amp)

Also there's very little reason to use anything other than hephasto or lister tbh. The venom lord is just an aura + amp + cool demon.
