Duping isn't a thing in D2R. Not saying it isn't possible there was that one instance, but it was a moronic scam and the item instantly disappeared.

Look at the sellers, if they could make FREE runes, then why are they selling average botted gear at the same time? Sure there are a few who open rune shops here and there they're likely those who RMT bought mass runes to resell to stock on FG to trade more easily.

They did the same thing in LoD. They don't bust out the perfectly rolled gg shit right at the start. They off load things very slowly as ladder comes on.

They dupe pskulls, runes to cube into legit runes, and other crafting recipe gear. They have bots running this stuff 24/7. It takes a long time to get something incredible unless you're OnAir or something equivalent.

They are absolutely still exploiting this game and exploiting the hell out of it. OnAirs pskulled rolled items in LoD AND d2r prove that fact.

Yep, exactly. D2r ladders go the same exact way they did in LoD... Ber and jah runes seen in under 6 hours of the first day and lots of them. The people selling them also sell badly rolled basic runewords and stuff for huge mark-up. They also can find a single base and dupe it as many times as they want, because white/grey items don't have a unique ID until a runeword is made in them.

As the ladder goes on in weeks they post gg rares and other stuff their bots rolled with duped crafting materials, as you can dupe as many pskulls and gems as you want, they don't have a unique item ID.

I'm honestly not sure if they are really doing it we would see a lot more 2 socket circs and 45 lifers. The item sites really dont even have large stock piles and no rares at all it's prolly just mass botting currently

You can go into old post archives from 2008/2009 at the end of ladder and see what they were selling around that time. I just went and did that. It wasn't really anything like that (45 lifer sets) That didn't come until later and not until the last few months of ladder, not the first month.

My thinking is there just isn't as MANY people who can roll items like back in LoD. Someone like OnAir can still do that, but not many others can. But duping/item rolling is absolutely happening. It would be crazy to assume it's not when there's always been duping for this game... It's kinda part of what it's online play is known for!
