Hey guys,

I'm throwing this out there since I can't test it myself (SSF HC - no disposable ZOD's).

I'm using ETH Insight on the 75FCR breakpoint with a pride merc and it's fantastic for p8 clear - does anyone know how Obsession in an eth archon staff with insight on the merc compares?

If we switch to the Obsession and keep the same FCR breakpoint we could also add in laying of hands for the 350ED to demons, and we get a nice damage increase from the mercenary being able to use a good weapon.

Has anyone been able to compare both versions?

pros:
gain 350 ed (only demons)
30fcr
70@res
4sks

cons:
350 ed vs all
60%+ critic chance

They are close.

I settle with 75FCR since i'm playing HC on p7/p8, so I run a stormshield & shako to have my DR & max block capped (i'm also teleporting with a controller...it's not precise).

I agree it's smoother, but I have to give up too much quality of life to get there.

I go your route, but I decided to use Vamp Gaze. Unpopular and ugly as hell, but it gives Dual Leech, massive pdr and mdr. Yes its bad for damage since it doesnt give Skills, but damage is the least problem for ES and Resists are easily fixable otherwise. Um'd SS, Highlords and LoH take care of the Tri-Res, Poison can come from a Ring.

For HC, I feel like Obsession is easily BIS. Stormshield Um’d+ Ber’d Hellwarden or 2/20 circlet would get you to 51%DR. The huge bonus to life will easily let you max block with SS.

Obsession + Arach + Hellwarden + Trangs gets you to 125FCR. You lose the demon damage but that would be until you can land or roll a 2/20 amulet and jump back to LoH.

if on hardcore, obsession is much better given the resist and flexibility to wear other DR gear like u r doing. Damage difference is hard to notice given the high damage in either case (but insight is much more technically)

Whats so wacko about this? If one class can do this without slowing down, its Warlock. People cry about dying to Tier 5 Heralds all the time and then roll their eyes when someone tries their best to be immortal. You guys are ridiculous sometimes :bonk:
