How important is having a bone break sunder (purely for the sundering effect - let's ignore the bonus from the renewed sunders) for the echoing strikes with a cursed demon build?

I thought it was a mandatory inclusion to pierce 100% immunities on phys immune instead of 20%, but i've been seeing people post that they run without one or that they prefer an extra skiller instead.

Is there a consensus on sunders?

Also - does anyone know if sigil : lethargy can proc the effects of hexes?

you can easily run without it if you have a cursed bind

The build is so OP that I haven't really noticed or cared the sunder is missing. Which is nice because it seems like such a dumb slog to get one. I haven't seen a single one yet. I find myself wanting to add survivability or QoL stats instead.

early stage (lvl50 to 80) breaking immunities is a little scratch to the head
you can indeed use a sunder charm but you kinda expose yourself to collateral damage , especially to exploding dolls on your way to mephisto.
if you play softcore it's not a big deal but for HC players it is.
personally I was using a ''shaeled'' Reaper's toll on merc to break immunities until level 90 ish

after that you don't really need to break immunities if you max hex purge that provides magic dmg to your echoing strikes
and then swap reaper's toll to pride to get a big chunk of additional damage

I regard that sunder as a liability to my Jafar. Cursed bind + lethargy + magic damage kill any physical immune. Yoi can even pop and sigil of death in-between for fire damage from the explosion.

Aura enchanted cursed Demon is basically instant AMP…. I guess slight delay but seems pretty minor.

Im trying to convert my fire warlock to echo. So do i really need bone break as long as i have hephasto cursed? and why do most prefer fanatiscm if IAS does not affect echo strike? My gears is mid - Horazons set (which is pretty gg), insight, no soj, no arach, no maras.

People use fanaticism heph because it shows more damage on character screen than a holy fire / cursed heph. But like always, looking at your character screen is a great way to get wrong info.

Holy fire (or shock or freeze) + cursed heph is by far the best. And it’s not even close.

instant amp from holy freeze etc is definitely better but...
