I’ve tried logging on to lld a lot, 95%+ of the time it’s 1 afk person, maybe 2. Getting a couple 2vs2 per weeks usually after midnight certainly doesn’t meet the definition of “very much alive”

had teams 3 weekends in a row. we recruited new players and weve been gearing them. teams were at reg hours on saturdays.

it's different during the week yeah were all working and have families. ..but were still getting duels in mon-fri

I log in often, 3-4x a week (definitely weekends), and check 9-30 every time. Have yet to see anything like you have mentioned in the last several+ months! I will keep trying 🤷‍♂️

I don't have discord! Others I have spoken to report the same deadness. I will continue to check for old times' sake, but I lost hope over a year ago!

ill post on jsp from now on when teams are up so that you are notified. of course, it's not as active as 4-5 years ago. my 'very much active' comment was referring to the past weeks lol. just trying to be positive. i hate when people call it a 'dead game'

Well, as much as we love the game, we have to be realistic. "Alive" games you can log into at any given time of day and find any type of game you want. "Dying" games was Diablo 2 in the early 2020s or even late 2010s. We love d2, we love lld, and it's hard to hear the things we love being named in a negative, definitive way. But the reality is, d2 is dead. That doesn't mean we can't still enjoy ourselves with the people that are left. But the label is true. Hope to see you around. And thanks for the 9-30 notifications, but to be honest it won't help me specifically. I can log in when I can log in, no jsp notification is going to change or influence that. I imagine myself as a D2 lifer, will always check in and keep at least a few chars going. So I'm sure I'll see you around.
