Insight > ondals/obsession > much more expensive and worse options

Weapon is your last priority.
Get enigma
Get 125fcr
Get sustain
Get pride on a might merc that can survive
Fix your survivability
Then and only then you should think about upgrading your starter insight… and what’s the absolute best option once you have acquired all the other more important pieces of gear?
The answer is… a better insight.

Eth 15ed Archon staff is best base.
Elder staff and shillelagh are also fine.
Reroll it until you have a roll high enough to satisfy your greed.
Nothing beats it, unless you completely messed up your build and you’re a complete noob who has no idea what is good and what is bad.
If you don’t care at all about having a good build and you only want to masturbate on big numbers and spend money, then you can follow the advice given by a bunch of noobs:
Arioc
TM fort
Death
Botd
Doom
Etc

Yes it’s gonna be expensive. Yes it’s gonna be worse. Yes you’ll regret your decisions. Yes it will be too late to resell your mistakes cuz people will have learned how to properly build by that time.
Luckily you don’t need to be dumb. You can just make the right decision and build better for cheaper.

what else besides eth insight ?

Enigma , arachnid , torch , anni , necro gloves , spirit , 2/20 helm or amulet ? then 2 sojs ? tri boots or that new + 1 warlock skill boots ?

May I add that for HC, given the fact that Tier 4 and 5 Heralds and also bad connections are all real threats, a much more defensive approach is still fine thx to the massive damage output of this build?

You can reduce to 75fcr, use stuff like Vamp Gaze/Coa and Stormshield together with 20 hard points in Blood Oath, can use Hex Syphon and a cursed Fana or Holy Freeze demon, can even use LoH instead of Trang Gloves and you still have your 85% overall Crit Chance, and a damage output that easily clears P8.

You then also have Dual Leech, over 70% physical damage reduction, 85% elemental damage reduction (apart from magic damage), a fierce tank and a good bunch of magic find.

If you want overkill damage for the ePenis comparison, you need a might pride merc. The good version where you really do heavy damage and have LOTs of quality of life is to give insight to a might merc to carry for you and to use arioc's needle +4. It doesn't even have to be eth. It offers you bigger radius for death sigil/lethargy, 3 demons with a bit of point investment, better consume and minion survivability.
