I have sound on my Xbox though no game sound just for d2r. Any advice? I can't find much about this online.

If you have decent internet you could uninstall and reinstall fairly quickly, worth a shot imo! Hope you find a fix bro

I had this on Xbox before. Wasn’t a series X. I found that somehow the game overloaded something usually like a mosaic or LF zon killing too much too quick. Reboot would fix it for me.
