Do you really find blood boil to be better than ES at p8?

A few questions if so! Is the damage high enough to run it with a stormshield?

Do you use bone break or fire sunder? I'm assuming we'd run holy freeze / cursed bound demon and infinity merc, which means hex siphon to take care of mana?

Is the skill rotation more involved than tele / blood boil and then the occasional engorge or sigil:lethargy?

Fire sunder yes, phys sunder no. Even though you can use multiple non-renewed, bone break is a net negative. In theory it lets amp+sigil apply 5x the effect to phys immunes, a huge boost. In practice, virtually every native phys immune monster has low enough hp and non fire immune that they die in 1 hit to the fire damage component even while still phys immune.

Its absolutely enough damage to run P8 and kill everything including immunes and bosses and tanky packs like frenzytaurs or even t5 heralds. Its about twice the damage per cast of hammers, in a huge instant aoe. I hit around 12.5k combined damage, so up to 25000 hp lost after all those stacked -resists / dr. Skill rotation is just teleport blood boil spam and deathmark as a teleport alternative, and the engorge after you wipe a room. Sigil is almost always overkill, you can use it on stuff like bosses and heralds but almost never on normal packs. And of course, a brief buff with battle command / battle orders / siphon / defiler / tainted / consume. Gets to be muscle memory

I keep deathmark on leftclick to easy aim the demon to clear rooms before I enter them, or pick off a straggler, etc. Absolutely neccessary doing areas with dolls, but still immensely helpful against the stuff that can interrupt you like vipers, charge zombies, suicide minions, etc if you see no reason to face tank frenzytaurs or burning souls. Particularly to keep your merc alive, deathmark is great at putting your demon in front of a herald pack that would kill your merc but not even scratch a demon

I just dont see the need for stormshield. A max blood oath warlock is just so ridiculously tanky I havent died on softcore being incautious in chaos / swampy pit / wsk from level 90 to 96 or so.

Fire sunder yes, phys sunder no.

What bound demon / aura do you use? What merc aura and weapon?

Do you have a maxroll planner set up for it? If not, roughly how much negative fire res are you running with?

I know stormshield's a bit overkill with maxed blood oath, but i've had a few spots with T5/P8 heralds where i've had my health chunked with capped DR & max block with my echoing strike...my risk tolerance is really low on HCSSF.

Your options are infinity merc with curse + holy freeze demon, or insight merc with curse + conviction demon. The tradeoff is meditation aura vs extra aoe curse procs on aura and losing either %ed on might or holy freeze slow. Insight setup is obviously cheaper and has some nice QoL, mostly just saves mana potion chugging while teleporting around. Infinity is more aggressive

I would always recommend urdar demon, since it has double regen.

It's really big dude, if we speak about clearing TZ p8, AOE entire screen deletion.

Hepha Conviction lvl12: -85%

Obsess, Eni, Flickering, 2x soj, maras, ars diabol with defender fire, wraithstep. FCR, res topped, potion no touch.

Bo50

I didn't save much footage of P8 after getting my proper 125 fcr setup, but I have some from the 75 fcr setup I used prior to that
the first half of this video shows P1, the second half shows P8;

I could go find a tz shard p8 game some point but either I need to use hero editor sp or I need to find a p8 bnet game which isn't always available
