With torch/anni/enigma/levitation, you can still get away with very low base strength and wield things like eth CV and spirit monarch.

But since you're so tanky with bind demon, and strength does increase ES damage (I think), is there a point where you're stopping vitality and pumping the rest of the points into strength?

My gut feeling was same... ty for validation. Open to other opinions though.

feels like I'm being gaslit by shit like this on popular build sites:

Allocate enough Stat Points into Vitality to reach ~3000 Life with active Battle Orders and all of the rest into Strength.

I thought you could reach 100-200+k dmg with ES ?
Are those build actual glasscannon full str no vita ?
If not then why the f would you put any extra point into str ?

Though question
It’s a build that has at the same time way too much dmg and way too much survivability
You could dump stats in energy at this point, but even then… why would you when you can easily maintain both of your globes at 100% by using insight + siphon

I just dump all in vita and play like rambo
Each life point you get is worth 43% more than for other classes

So, at least for SC, I see it as an opportunity not to increase your dmg further by dumping pts in str, but instead as an opportunity to use different gear, to increase QoL and utility, or even mf, instead if using gear to boost your dmg/survivability.

The build is just op in every aspect. Doesn’t really matter how you min/max it once you have the core of 125fcr, enigma, pride merc and fixed your sustain.
The one thing it “lacks” (and not really either) is big AoE dmg.
On a high end build, I prefer to sacrifice the lil extra dmg/life from consume and use 2 defilers instead.
With 50%+ shared dmg, you get to kill mobs outside your linear/cone attack as long as you killed 2+ linked targets.
This is a nice clear speed increase once you reach a point where consume becomes unnecessary overkill.
Also, consume is just 1% more ed per lvl than levitation mastery, so the moment you start using 2 defilers you can just respec and dump those points in levitation instead.

It doesn't lower your req for the spirit. But you could benefit a little from less dex needed on your weapon

Thanks, this whole post was really insightful. I've been feeling like I'm stuck with a few specific pieces of gear and using too much inventory space on resist charms in order to keep hell resists maxed, but maybe I can start de-prioritizing resists due to the extra survivability.
