Hi all.
I am kinda disappointed of my actual nova sorc. I am so squchy I die almost everywhere, even (thats what I think) I am pretty okay geared.
I use:
- griffons
- viper
- infinity scythe
- 2x 10fcr ring
- frostburns
- trires boots
- arach
- anni
- torch
- atm my temp mana fcr amu (at lvl 94 I ll use a +2allsk +16fcr +mana crafted amu)
- inventory with mana and res charms

with an insight merc

i have all res around 60, almost 2k mana, 105fcr, do decent dmg...
but without any chance to tank anything.

what am I doing wrong?
Any suggestions?


Edit: skills maxed: nova, staticfield, telekinesis, lightningmastery
1 in ES
1 in frozen armor, others in warmth (I am lvl 92 atm)

Thanks guys, the NO ES max was almost the core problem. With my lvl and without sojs and sks I get it to 80% dmg absorb, thats okay, feels much better. I also adjusted my merc -> prayer very helpful
All other options will come with time..

have you maxed telekinesis? have you maxed es?

ditch frostburns. use 2 sojs + magefist

ditch tri res, use eth sands or rares with frw and high poison res. all other resistances are useless on an es sorc

use an a2 prayer merc with insight and cure

I bet the problem is in the skill tree

max ES seems also a diff.. I ve read many guides telling dont max it.. I wondered. but it looks like I have to?!

Edit- get up to about 90-95 sorb and report back.

Edit again: a cheap solution would be grab 3-4 light skillets and respec

You need to adjust your ES level.
Playing an ES nova sorc you need 20 hard points (max) telek and level 40 ES after bo, skills, etc.

People will never learn how this build works…

Was rushed by somebody not so long ago. He played nova and insisted on stacking res and life as a nice addition, very much needed and greatly improving survivability. Couldn’t be convinced otherwise.

I checked many build guides and asked chatGPT. I am really surprised chatGPT did fall to the less common builds that say no more points into ES than the most others with ES max..
so u agree with Dolphy I dont need res? At least I didnt spent statpoints on vita

You rather spent the point to warmth but not ES?
