Yea the problem with losing the demon is that some demons are hard to find.

I just run around with 400 mf / 1000 gf and dont do the ritual

My demon is a cursed / stoneskin dark lancer from tz a5

It’s worth it if you are going to do a full game clear. But 400 mf is fairly effective. I have more info coming out soon.

only pro barbs set it up in groups

or you have a warlock clear a nice area and leave a tp with a few souls around

"A youtuber of the name “goatunnheim” did a pretty neat test to find out how much MF this actually gives(4200 after full ritual). Goatunnheim put on a lot of hero edited charms that gave -100 MF and then tested with monsters that should drop magic items. In Goatunnheim’s words:

“It was mentioned on Discord that a full ritual of a soul pack gives you 4200 MF Here I verified this using a hero-edited character. Further testing shows that a partial ritual gives you a fraction of the 4200 MF, and that the MF stacks if you repeat the ritual. From the testing it seems that the MF that each letter gives is 150 * (number of souls participated). Since 600 MF is way more than enough, one can simply go farming after they finish the first letter D.”"

Found this on a reddit thread a while ago when I was trying this in LoD. According to that video the ritual does indeed stack, granted idk how much it'll effect the drops after 4200mf but I guess if you can stack light resist and sorb and just chill out for a while it may be worth doing multiple times

One question maybe: I have the impression that we lose the ritual effect if we die. Even if we stay in the same lobby it seems to be that the MF does not apply anymore. (I just "feel it" on a couple of games, I did not collect data as you did...)

Did you observe such an effect?

(I play online cannot go on negative MF to confirm this)

No testing needed, did two rituals and every third drop was unique. Legit swimming in unique. They are all worthless tho

Edit: its known that for t4 t5 heralds MF doesnt have any real meaningful effect

Yes if you die it’s gone. You need to do the ritual every game too. Does this help ?
