How do you choose who to show as your top 6 friends?

You can assign a Rank from 0-100 to each of them, 100 being the highest on your friends list.
Enter a number, check the boxes next to it, and click the button 'Update Ranks' at the bottom.

The amount of top friends displayed on your profile can be changed in the profile settings (click pencil icon next to d2jsp Forums > Viewing User Profile at the very top of the page when viewing your profile).

I never would have figured this out; none of it is intuitive. Like, I thought the boxes were to mark for deletion. Why does the Rank 1 not show as 1st on your friends list? Why can't I click the up and down arrows to jump to the next person's rank here:
Tab doesn't go to the next either, unfortunately. And why do I need to check the box when updating ranks? It's very strange, no?

I appreciate the help. I've got it now. Wish it was a bit easier to use lol!

You can have the same number on multiple friends.
If you want to sort them by Actual top to bottom, you only need to use Six numbers, 7-6-5-4-3-2- and the rest can stay 1 (Those who will not show in top friends list).
They dont necessarily need to be all different numbers.

Or if you dont bother by the order of your top 6, you can just use 2-2-2-2-2-2 - and the rest 1.
