They bombed us. A country in Southeast Asia that had never even known America, had never done a single thing to obstruct it. The people only wanted peace after winning independence from French colonial rule in 1954.

But because of one unbelievably stupid conspiracy theory, in 1972 they dropped millions of tons of bombs — on hospitals, on civilian homes, everywhere.

And the most shocking thing is that almost no Westerners even know this. Yet in that Southeast Asian country, from six-year-old children to every adult, everyone knows this history by heart.

Laos.

The story is , during the Vietnam war there was a lull period and bombs were laying around and the Americans decided to use it on Laos claiming that the Viet Congs are in Laos.

Yah but they did it to Laos as well. And Laos was not even involved with the Viet War.

No new country in the world would get nukes, if they knew they will be bombed.
For democracies its even easier, as all you need is some trade embargo to break them.

There are countless innocent little lives who, right after birth, were already deformed. They are victims of dioxin poisoning — a chemical banned by the United Nations. A poison that they poured down in millions of liters, with the intent to wipe out a gentle nation halfway across the world.

You can look at the images of Vietnamese children suffering from Agent Orange. Truly heartbreaking.

No other country on this planet has endured such pain and loss as our people.
France colonized us for 100 years → then Japan in 1945 → in 1954 we fought against French colonialism and won independence. But the war continued until 1975 (victory over America). In 1977 we were invaded at the Southwestern border by Pol Pot. In 1979, while still fighting in Cambodia, we were attacked again by China at the Northern border, and only in 1989 did we finally achieve peace.

By then, our country was left with nothing, looking like a dead desert.
Not a single foreign nation in the United Nations spoke up. The United Nations is a joke ? =))

the amount of debt every nation "owes" proves this?
USA is the most powerful? yet is in the most debt? why is that even a thing? why isnt everyone "in debt" to USA and USA be super rich? like? WTF?

Kissinger went to Deng Xiaoping and told them to "teach" Vietnam a lesson. I don't think they really wanted to do it but it was the height of China and US relationship. And the Soviet Bloc are actually against the Chinese Communist party.
Soviet Was close enough to Vietnam that " supposedly " lobbied to pressure the Chopin Competition first prize to give it to Dang Thai Son.

The result being Ivo Pogorelić from Yugoslavia lost and it was quite a huge scandal because Martha Argerich was so pissed off she resigned from the judge panel.
