What fishing rank do you need to use a oak fishing rod? I Told a guildy to buy a oak IV rod thinking he can use it at rank 0, guess i was wrong :huh:

I believe tier III can be used at 1, similar to gear but I could be wrong.

Could use a loan rod if hes 0 rank. Save the oak rod til he gets closer.

He would level faster with Splintered rod atm.

For oak rod you would want at least level 12-15+ proficiency - I am rank 9 and not using oak rods yet.

Could be wrong but i think you can use any rod you just have to be the character level to use it. After i mq i cant fish until im like 30 bc i cant use the rod. So if he was lvl 1 just tell him to lvl some.
