Yes
Before you could only have
20 tomes for 20x20=400 tps
And 12 on belt for a total of 412

But now?
You have infinite tps
And as far as I know…
Infinite/412 is still infinite
So sling ring made the portal barb infinitely better

Get 200fcr
Full tank
Max leap
This is to help you survive anyone that tries to stop you from spamming tps.

exactly. i have been running this exact build and my teammates are wondering why i dont b/o and how i could possibly portal so much. it clears baal waves p8. wondering about its viability in pvp which prompted this post. the 200 fcr is extremely important. i dont have leap so i need to respec. thanks bro

i aim for at least 500 portals in a baal run to really let the game know im built different and pure spec’d as a portal barb. ur math checks out although the old ceiling was 416 portals

Can you guys explain whats the point of a portal barb ?
Same as telesorc except he can have high survivability with high BO and Leap ?
This makes sense.
But the "I make 500 tps per Brun" or whatever I need someone to explain

what makes it viable is

portal barb has crazy clear speed since the portals are infinite and scales well late game compared to ww barb

Aight I delete all my godly chars and am gonna run 8x Portal barbs

damn thats gg price. i may bid on it if the other dude doesnt bin. i actually think this is the most slept on build in all of d2r. my teammates in pub games are always stunned by its efficiency and i have mid tier portal barb gear except 200 fcr
