so i saw some guides from toeshank on trapsin in pvp and he always invests 1 point in DT, even while maxing fire blast.

my question is in which situations use which skill? i cant really find any explanation on this

Dragon Talon (1 point)
Purpose: Finishing move vs certain matchups.
You use Dragon Talon when:
The opponent is very close (inside trap field)
They have high lightning resist / absorb
You want to trigger Open Wounds / Crushing Blow / Venom quickly
Fighting casters that get locked by Mind Blast
Common examples:
Sorcs
Necros
Wind Druids
Occasionally other sins
Because Dragon Talon hits extremely fast, it can instantly apply:
Venom
Open Wounds
Crushing Blow
You only need 1 point because:
+skills boost it enough
Damage mainly comes from gear effects, not skill level.

Fire Blast ()
Purpose: Ranged pressure, stun lock support, trap synergy.
You use Fire Blast when:
Your Lightning Sentry traps are already placed
You want to keep someone in hit recovery while traps hit
A player is teleporting or kiting outside your trap field
You’re finishing a low-HP opponent
You need damage while mind blasting
Why it’s maxed:
Each level adds extra shots to Fire Blast.
It also synergizes Lightning Sentry and Death Sentry.
Typical PvP flow:
Teleport near enemy
Lay traps
Mind Blast to stun
Spam Fire Blast while traps hit
This keeps the stun lock going.

Tele near them
Drop 4–5 traps
Mind Blast → stun
Fire Blast to keep stun
If they tele into your trap stack and get stuck:
Switch to Dragon Talon kicks
Venom + Open Wounds drains them instantly.

Fire Blast = ranged trap support & stun maintenance
Dragon Talon = close-range finisher

you keep a claw in cube in inv with OW, you switch to it for 1v1 vs necros, kick them, and switch back to the other claw for fb

kick isnt a finisher, its to get them to 1 with OW

dt is for ow vs nec/es soso . not a finisher

fb on d2r i presume would work alot better than on d2lod as no desynch so coud be a more viable 1v1 build however not even played d2r tbh

hey man i like fire i don't know much about it i'm a hydra player just some youtubes

flickering flame is good helm
phoenix is good shield

i don't know much more

-res is good

maybe a armor with new -fire res jewel and 3x facet idk if can use 4x jewel idk if possible hoping it becomes possible uhh

for wep i think maybe uhh idk if it's fcr or ias maybe u can do rare fire blast claw i not sure with like 2 facets or 1facet 1 new jewel with the -10fire res

u could do a double claws uhh

idk much claw block very strong

u can go phys damage too

if u like a fire i not trying to insult i love play fire hydra i wanna take a quick many like a 3 screenshot of some cool hydra stuff just a cause i tink ita be nice
