honestly i've always been playing a bit of pvp and theorycrafting builds here and there. played a bit of warlock 2 days into the expansion, but cant help but feel insanely bored with d2r after that

i know people are having a fun with pvm, and and i think they should, but pvm eventually gets boring and pvp has always been the end game for a lot of people (and the market)

but seeing how blizzard is slowly ruining pvp by introducing a character with 7k+ life, the highest frw ever, 43% damage reduction and 100k+ physical dmg just took the fun out of any other character, like a 100k fg character just has no chance vs a 1k fg warlock

kinda sad to see but pvp doesnt really feel like d2 anymore

They’ve been slowly ruining but yea it’s pretty clap now especially and likely to get much much worse with further changes. They cater to the majority so they couldn’t care less about pvp

Play GM (banning warlog) or some Melee stuff?

i'm afraid so yeah, but i can't help but think that a lot of these items will have no value if theres no pvp, no?

like when the gamble christmas event is on and everyone and their mother is gambling diadems

if theres no pvp community to gamble these diadems for, what's the point of playing pvm?

i played quite a bit of hc single player pvm, and it kinda died for me as soon as i got a griffon enigma and infi, does theres nothing else to do after that

i guess gm pvp will still exist yea, although i gotta say public duel games were a lot of fun and those are gonna be more dead than ever

no one wants to duel a warlock

D2 pvp always survives! Iam sure they find a way, creating an additional league or whatever

Solutions:

PvP on LoD - but I understand that people are moving to RotW, so you guys just need to regroup and create private games with new rules, or just exclude warlocks.
This brings some nice addition to pvp for the other classes, maybe a bit more in favour of magic dmg builds, but the horazon boots are there to balance it.

In the long term, they'll probly nerf warlocks. We can only speculate... probly won't be enough to balance them for pvp. But the above will still be true.

d2r pvp felt like a downgrade from old d2 with fhr / wsg / desync changes but still feels enjoyable

i didnt convert so far because i've felt like rotw is a pvm expansion from minute 1 and i hoped the pvp community would stay in lod but i'm getting mixed signals so idk yet

As an og pvper after they removed wsg I cried for weeks and now this warcock is way too stronk and I just dont want to do it anymore

Im glad I kept most of my pvp chars on lod but my bbc I converted and now he gets shat on by some budget warlick and I regert my decision
