I think both will be correct. Sorc makes the most fun for me, even if i don't like blizz that much.

There is a readymade one after you're done mfing with the doom axe from for PVM. I prefer the max damage PVP one where yoiu can PK people as well with death fathom and a 20fcr/+3/2os tiara.
For lvl 99, nova and fire sorc are faster though.

Yeah many builds can eventually be built differently if the goal is to lvl up then convert to pvp without having to optimize for pvm or to use 2 setups.

Doom on a blizz/orb sorc was the clear winner in most areas, but I havnt had the time to check what’s optimal now with the new jewel and sunder in RotW.
You can get an extra 15 flat cold pen there, which could potentially give the advantage to DF. Hard to say what would be optimal between -% or +% on the sunder without doing the maths on high end setups.
I’m too busy with all the warlock builds and got too little time right now, but I’m sure someone will figure out the new optimal setups for both pvm and pvp

I really think, that Blizz sorc isn't my spec actually.
Forb i played 20 years ago, also Lightning.
I think Nova could do very well too. But all Lightning builds need Griffon, which i could afford right now.
Do they need Infinity as Startup?

What other spec should I go, if not Blizz?
I can respec 2 more times, then i have to pay for it.

I'm not interested in PvP tbh, only PvM. Don't ask me why. Maybe later, but then i'd prefer Paladin for this i guess.
So, new recommendations?

Everything beyond blizz sorc+cold sundy or nova+griffons+infinity is a set of trade-offs and you just need to pick whatever is most fun for you.

FO+Nova can do most content but only on p1 and its not the fastest vs bosses or lightning immune packs and is tedious vs trav.

Pure fire without sunder/infinity can do durance level 3 full clears, stony tombs, key runs with a good merc, pindle/eldritch

Pure lightning or nova can work without griffons or infinity but you are limited to arcane sanctuary, pindle/eldtrich, key runs

Fireball+Nova can be an extremely fun pit runner on p1 but isn't so good at anything else until gear gets excellent

Hydra or Forb / Nova are interesting. Still can't decide.
Which one would you choose for mfing and trying to get HR, gear and stuff?

FOrb/Nova if you get bored not being able to go anywhere.

Lightning or Nova if you like to run countess and summoner and trade keys for your wealth.

But with Nova Forb i can run key's aswell, ain't i ?

You will run keys better/faster with pure lightning but yes you can run keys with FOrb/Nova too. You've just got to pick one and run with it, there isn't a wrong answer as long as you are aware of the tradeoffs. If you are limited on respecs use the hero editor and try out some stuff offline first to see if it fits your playstyle.

For a budget build you start with lore+stealth+spirit+splendor/rhyme and move into lore+smoke+dual spirit, then add vipermagi, magefist, shako and then proceed to tal's set or 3 piece tal's + shako+ hoto.

My favorite is to hit the countess and summoner plus all ghosts on the way to them so I get a strong charm inventory early on. This helps me crack 1k life and good res sooner than other areas.

maybe you should pick anything with nova and trade your first few keys for tokens so you don't have to worry so much about your build.

Dont get too busy on Warlock bro, next ladder is comikg and with it nerfs to Warlock... at least I hope so
