If I am using 3 accounts (multi box) in the same game and two are in town, am I getting a proper p3 drops. I.e. the same as a
Single Player on /players 3 would? Running chaos seal pops now with two people in town 24/7 but not sure it’s actually affecting the no drop chance. Seeing multiple answers online and asking the same question on two AI models feeds two different answers.

player in game / in same area = noDrop%

p1/1, p2/1 = 62.5%

p2/2, p3/1, p3/2, p4/1 = 38.78 %

p3/3, p4/2, p4/3, p5/1, p5/2, p6/1 = 24.05 %

p4/4, p5/3, p5/4, p6/2, p6/3, p7/1, p7/2, p8/1 = 14.29 %

p5/5, p6/4, p6/5, p7/3, p7/4, p8/2, p8/3 = 9.09 %

p6/6, p7/5, p7/6, p8/4, p8/5 = 4.76 %

p7/7, p8/6, p8/7 = 3.23 %

p8/8 = 1.64%

Based from the table above then this is still correct.

In your example where there are 3 players in game and 2 are in town so that means 1+0.5+0.5. The nodrop chance is equal to p2/2 and p3/1

If theres 8 players splitting mf in their own area the nodrop chance is 1+0.5+0.5+0.5+0.5+0.5+0.5+0.5 = 4.5
the nodrop chance is equal to p8/1 and p4/4

As Sins stated,

Each player adds to the player count by 1. Each additional player in your area adds 1 to the area count.

No drop count = player count + area count
No drop breakpoints are at odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13).

1 person mf-ing and 4 in town will have the same no drop % as 3 people farming together in a 3 player game.
(5/1 == 3/3 == 24.05 %)

8 Players split mf-ing would be the same as 7 players split mfing for no-drop. The nodrop chance would be the same as 4 players mfing together in a 4 player game.
(8/1 == 7/1 == 4/4 == 14.29 %)
