I’ve only done echoing strike, are there other builds that are as strong in P8 games? Or is ES just broken.

Fire is very good once fully specced.

Sounds like blood boil is also quite good although I’m not sure what the build/mechanics are

fire is to slow...
only apocalypse makes good dmg, but the two seconds delay hurts

fire >> echo

havent tried boil

its more of a tossup between fire and echo, fire has to cast 2-3 times in p8 with delays but has huge aoes, echo has dinky aoes and overkill damage but needs to cast multiple times to spread it
flame wave tends to deal more damage than apocalypse, its more you only cast apocalypse because wave is on cd and fire nova sucks


Blood boil is handily better than both in fully geared builds, only thing echo really beats it at is baal/ubers, maybe herald 4+ gets enough HP but I have no sweat taking out T5 P8 TZ96 heralds in massive groups with conc using boil and an echo build has to actually worry about their demon dying or them dying or phys immunes being a slow kill, so I'm not sure that's an edge either. Ubers definitely are. But blood boil is just so much faster at normal usages because you're zipping around killing stuff without aiming

well the 125 build is mang song / enigma / ars baalos / 2-20 circlet / 2-15+ ammy / magefist / arach / 2x fcr, rare boots or wraithstep if you're fruity. And a cheaper 75 build can use flickering flame / maras and open a ring slot
with infinity might merc and cursed + holy freeze demon, or cheaper insight might merc and cursed + conviction demon
20 blood boil 20 blood oath 20 engorge 20 bind demon rest demonic mastery, 1 point hex siphon, 1 point sigil lethargy. Not really worth getting 1 point psychic ward imo

on ladder the only thing I'm missing is some life/resist on charms, a 2/15 ammy and defender's fire for my -15 mang songs

In P1 game my Apocalypses needs to only be cast once in cows. When cows are Terrorized its about 2 casts. Baal waves 1-3 are cast once, wave 4 cast twice, and wave 5 takes a lot more (between 4-5). The 1.8 sec delay is a killer, have to have a big old demon bound to attract attention. Endgame when it is level 35 and higher it is a good skill.

But building up, almost all Warlocks suffer from too much mana requirement. No Insight then the toon is useless. For a ladder toon the fire/apocolypse almost requires a sunder, good luck with that on getting one.

Es is broken. Fire is only good if youre geared through the roof
