Ladder for many players is about getting wealth efficiently and quickly with minimal gear. Echo warlock fits this perfectly. No other chars at the moment can reach the same clear speed, tankiness, mf potential and content clearing with the same cost. It's miles ahead. No skillers or torch, and yet does Uber ancients in 5-10 secs.
Nova sorc with top gear may clear faster, but still face problems in certain TZ and heralds. And can't do Ubers unless heavily geared.
Javazon has poorer tele breakpoints.
For non-ladder, sure, you have all the gears. For ladder? No chance.

Imo, even the highest geared fire druid can't match echolock with 1/4 of the investment.

new sunder and fire jewel is a major buff to fire druid. it's still a great build

warlock hasn't made anything more obsolete than mosaic sins did before it

except echoing strike is like a better fury. werebear tankiness is beaten by blood oath. warlock summons are better. warlock fire spell is probably more functional/less rng dmg. basically every role the druid has now is filled by the warlock better. this wasn't the case with the mosaic sin, it filled a different role altogether. that's why i asked if there is any reason at all to still play druid.

melee druid has always been extremely useless pvm

wind druid has always been worse than fire druid

fire druid has always had worse aoe than a number of s tier builds

mosaic sin is still a tier above everything else at just about everything except killing pindle or nonsense short burst runs like that
