you say it was only enriched as a deterrent, then that they wanted to strike, and that we should attack them for gaining deterrent uranium.
we havent attacked them under bush, obama, trump, or biden, for the same reason that we havent attacked north korea. conventional arms aimed at our military bases can still cause an absurd amount of damage in money and lives. we're about to find that out in earnest, unless some insane plot is under way that will short cut the war. this isn't iraq, we can't blow it up and leave it a mess and expect just a refugee crisis.
pre-war they were a deathcult with destroying the USA and Israel at the top of their priorities. and we just took out all of the reasons for them not to try. we may have just cut off our own leg to get rid of an itch. and we're almost certainly out of the middle east 100% after this. israel will align with china and our greatest ally becomes the new tech supplier for our greatest enemy. so the pretense of the war is to stop them from hurting israel who is going to change teams at the end of the war.
I didn't say they wanted to strike... They were striking. They wanted to be able to continue to do it with impunity.
Are you saying you don't think they enriched to 60% to act as a deterrent? Lol I'd love to hear your alternative theory.
As I've already explained from 2016-2021 JCPOA was working and they were being kept one year from acquiring nuclear weapons. That was a good result for as long as it lasted. Bush had bigger fish to fry and Obama was the one who made JCPOA happen. We should have attacked in 2021, but as I said they were not actually building nuclear weapons. Biden convinced himself he could roll it back to JCPOA compliance.
You are wrong when you said in your previous post "having those nuclear sites was the only thing stopping Israel from attacking them for a few decades now."
If that was true, why didn't Israel attack in the five year span between 2016 and 2021?
