Happened into a bit of luck yesterday. found a 2 10 warlock ammy and highlords. assuming insight cv non eth and no gore riders is highlords always the best choice? One or the other will replace telling of beads ammy.

Nothing like double dmg when youre already doing 200k+ dmg

2/15+ fcr/stats/resist crafted amulet are bis, additional crit is no longer need when you use insight or needle.

Highlords deadly strike is kinda nerfed when using insight. It’s like 15% crit or something so only half value and -1 skill.

Mara’s adds +2 to the insight +crit at enough of a rate with crit roll from levitation too

A 2/20 or 2/15 depending on shield is also very strong into 125fcr set ups.

People have explained it better, but crit rolls first. If crit fails, you roll deadly strike. Having a high crit chance = less uses of deadly strike = less useful high lords.

You don’t need bis gear but I don’t like highlords because the amulet slot has a lot more flexibility for other benefits like skills (especially all skills), fcr, resists, etc. If that isn’t a problem to patch over with other gear, use it. But you might find that 125fcr or better resists improves your effective clearspeeds.

so insight gives my warlock the use of the passive amazon skill: Critical strike and youre telling m that plus to skills from gear (and even cta) adds to passive skill?

Yes same as +skills add to Bo on cta

As others have said, it'll depend on the weapon. I'd use Mara's over Highlords if you're using Insight since CS and DS don't quadruple crit and your chance to crit will already be very high with Insight and Levitation Mastery.

Thanks everyone. This perfectly answers my question. I'm SSF, rather recently. Few months here and there before Warlock. Now I'm hitting it hard. I'm hitting 125 FCR in thanks to viper and Hellwarden. Unfortunately haven't found a mara yet. I'll be going for my second attempt at a torch tonight
