Hi,

Is it possible to have the topics display "last updated xx/xx/xxxx" instead of the creation date when using the search box?

For example, i have my FT topic created on 1st of december and even tho i update it at least daily to keep it accurate, there are many people who ask me "hey, do you still have this ?" because they see only the created date so it's natural to assume that maybe the listed item is no longer available today.
If that would change, so that when people use the search feature, the results to display "last updated at/on" instead of the topic created date, it would help in the way that we don`t need to remake posts to keep them "fresh" and adding unnecessary load on the site. This way i could just have my post up until it expires or auto sages, rather than having to recreate it so people don`t feel like they are browsing a topic from 2-3 weeks ago.

Thank you.

You can edit your trade topic up til 3 days after creation. Every time you edit it, the timer resets and it shows last edit at the buttom of the first post.

And if you’re all sold out. Simply remove or edit to topic closed or something like that.

So I don’t believe it’s necessary to implement.

This is what i`m talking about.

I have searched for an item in my sell list, it found it, but the display results shows the thread created time on 1st Dec even tho i updated the thread today. This leads to confusion for people that search and makes them think the item is no longer available because of how old the thread is.
The suggestion i had was that instead of displaying the thread created date when searching, if it's possible to have it show the last time the thread was updated was updated. So instead of 1 Dec 2025 19:24 it could show 9 Dec 2025 14:24 for example.
I don`t know the technical required behind such a task or if it could lead to more problems than it could solve; it's just a suggestion.

Cheers

I get what you're saying but you already have the edit button which shows the last edit time and where you can edit out items as you wish.

If people would use it, they could simply edit it out of their offerlist or post topic closed as I see several people do.

I'm one of those who usually avoid "too old topics".
When I search for an item, I find the most recent made topic to trade with, as very old topics usually leads to slower/no trades or in what OP mentions questioning if they still got the items.
Would be usefull to actually see When the post was last edited in the search-section. Or when it was last bumped for example.
Currently not showing anything when you click the post in the search, nothing at the bottom *In the search.

If a topic was posted 1st of december, I would avoid it by default. Ngl.

As an example:

First screenshot from search page,
Second screenshot from after entering his topic.

Would save some time if we knew from the search page when it was last edited or when it was last bumped.
I am leaning more to "When it was last bumped" tho.

Voting: Usefull

Exactly what i was asking for: instead of displaying the "Created Date" have the site show "Last Edited" or even better "Last Bumped". "Last edited" may create spam.
I gave up, since there's no way a user can update the thread creation date so rather now i`m remaking my post every 5 days to keep it "fresh". It's something.

Search results are already sorted by the post, edit, or last bump date, most recent first. That said, the date that is now shown on the results will be the most recent of either the post creation, or the last edit to help improve clarity. Reposting of your topics is not necessary or recommended. Thanks
