So I had a theory and wondering if it would work with Protector's Stone Jewels (PSJ)
Lets say you had a 6os eth Thunder Maul, obviously people would instantly think "Oh EBOTD easy" but then my brain went on a tangent.
From what I googled, you're allowed to put more than one of the new unique jewels into one item (3os helm or 6os weapon) and be able to equip it.
So what if we did 6x PSJ into a 6os eth Thunder Maul?
Now if you're lucky enough or rich enough to get them perfs, then it's ridiculous how close to EBOTD it would be
6x perf PSJ would be as follows
+300% Dmg
+60-180 dmg
-60% enemy phys dmg resist
30% exp
300% Gold Find
210% Magic Find
If both EBOTD and the 6x PSJ were also Sup 15%, the base weapon damage would be as follows
EBOTD 252-1390 Damage
6x PSJ 263-1300
Also with Enigma that is potentially over 300% MF from two items, even use gheeds.
And with the other proper gear, you can reach the 75% FCR BP for echoing strike.
I'm just thinking that, while it would be excessively expensive in comparison to EBOTD, it could also easily clear up the need for other MF stuff.
Possibly even out damaging EBOTD because of the -60% enemy phys dmg resist too.
