Brother it was a 20 game/hour limit (roughly) w/hard delays on games created in quick succession, with a daily cap of 100ish? I forget. It's been forfuckingever. CoH > Fort thanks to LL and resists, if you're focused on Trav specifically. If you need general farming through Merc carry, Fort works because its damage buff isn't Demon-specific.
You might as well use Eth Hone Sundan if you wanna get a 3os weap for Lems and you're unconcerned w/fast clears anyway. And again unless you were doing p7 most of the benefits of Goldfind come from Find Item being a virtual cheat code, not from Merc kills.
No it wasn't 20game/hour limit.
As I said before you played for an hour like that you will get temp ban.
Maybe you are forgetting that players swapped CD keys to do that. And that you can get temp bans from gambling too fast or dropping too much gold on the ground.
There wasn't a daily cap either.
The only way you could run 24/7 bots or horking was doing runs around 10-12min or by swapping CD keys. Or by having a reasonable delay time at the start of every game created. There was no other way around it.
Also keep in mind the fort use for leveling. We didn't have tokens to re-spec so to level your barba with this setup you need to join chaos/baal runs or be able to go in tankier areas like Shenk/Pindle.
COH is the modern build choice. Fort is the oldschool choice for a reason. Fort and ebug wealth. I don't think D2R has ebugs but you didn't have the space to store 3x armors in the stash to cover all bases. Stash is small in the OG days.
You needed space to swap charms in the stash to gamble still.
Best stash items were +3warcy amy, bo helm, demon limb, wealth armor, eth tomb reaver for mfing. If you had 3x armors and 3x spears in stash you wouldn't have any room for pickups for crafts or anything along the way and you would be gambling just one item at a time and selling it rather than gambling and filling up then using the sell item tool to reduce how much you needed to click or drag.
