I'm not sure I understood what you said here...
You gain 172 hammer dmg when you swap hoto for void?
But then with conc, they both show as 12k?

If that's correct, then it would mean the +% magic dmg is only additive with conc
so hoto would give +3 hammer +3 conc, and a 15% void would give +2 hammer and the equivalent of +4 conc

But maybe that's not what you wanted to say...

No it looks like the opposite of what you said.
Hammers display more dmg while not under conc, but same when under. But it is rounded up, so I cant know for sure.
Lemme try with full Pcombs to see if I see a real difference once on conc.

Playing enigma-less warlock made me appreciate it doesn't matter how overpowered a damage skill is when 90% of farming is movement.

No it looks exactly like what I said if thats the case.
You would see much bigger numbers with void if the bonus magic dmg was multiplicative with conc, but if they're both 12k then it's surely just a very minor bonus equivalent to +2 conc, while losing 1 hammer skill.
In the range of 12k, it's impossible that +10% is not at least resulting in +1k, even if you lose 1 skill.

With 7 Pcombs on (sry the others are on Expansion I'm too lazy to convert for this)

Without Conc :
Hoto DMG Hammers : 3352-3379
Void : 3586-3615

Now with conc on :
Hoto : 13-13k
Void : 14-14k

Swapped MF ring to BK :

Hoto goes 14-14k
Void goes 14-15k

With BC and BK on :
Hoto 14-15k
Void 15-15k

Reminding you this is a 10% Void.
I have no other "+Magic dmg%" source than Void (like no renewed black cleft or guardians light or opalvein).

I've lost interest in hdins a long time ago so I havn't checked what would be the optimal mix to reach max dps (which would depend on the target's magic res)

do you think the renewed magic sunder with -magic res to the player, makes the warlock set boots with magic res., a must use item?

every single pvp player should have a pair of those 30% magic res boots in stash ofc
I dont see what could beat that option, even on a build that would normally use something like gores... 30% magic res is just insane, on top of up to 30 stats and CbF (not that you really need dex/cbf vs most magic dmg builds, but still...)

i meant more for a pvm hdin... i typically used waterwalks in the past. just not sure if the additional magic damage ill take from now using a sunder is an issue or not. in lod i never bothered with the magic sunder for my hdin.
i stack dex for max block. another reason i prefer waterwalks over something like aldurs boots.

ahhh nahhh
magic dmg is close to irrelevant in pvm

they can both have 15 dex
you dont need the str, you don't need the cbf
so imo, 65 life and +5 max fire res is much better than 30% magic res
