Sorc is still the best ladder starter unless you’re buying enigma, and end game sorc builds have higher clear speed

i was thinking they should move warlock toward blood magic and remove their mana. they have to use their life pool for skill costs so they have to risk more for their power. blood boil should remove 5% of YOUR life, not just your demons, for example.

Yup, it's testament to how overpowered movement and spell QOL is.

Warlock clear speed would be equivalent or better than nova if fire-lock didn't have that awful delay, but that's only with an enigma. Nova doesn't even need infinity and can go budget with griffons+crescent (though P8 TZ clear speed will take a hit).

Warlock is jack of all trades. Not perfect in one thing but also has no weaknesses.

It's weakness is $15 price tag, feels extremely clunky to play, and has a lower top-end ceiling w/o gfg gear. Sorc is just a straight up better ladder char still despite how overwhelmingly broken warlock dps numbers are.

stop listening to streamers 99% of them don't know what they are talking about nor actually play the game outside of speed-running.

Warlock has 1 build thats bugged aka echoing strike and it's not even that much faster than a nova sorc, it just requires 0 gear because of the bug calculating the damage twice.

if warlock was forced to race as the magic build or the fire build it would lose to Hammerdin, Nova or light sorc, and java zon by miles.... the class is just mechanically easier and less gear focused because it has lot of stuff baked in, but the actual damage is not that crazy.

also a smiter is still 1000000x better for ubers than anything warlock has on a budget. Soon as echoing is fixed, your typical braindead classes like sorc/hammerdin/java zon will be back on top.

Lot of them have character screen-itis, they see the number say 70k and they automatically think "whoah this is better than mosaic".

Meanwhile, javazon deletes the screen in 2 throws and bosses in 1 charged strike for the last 20 years but no one gives a shit because they can't do math.

People saying lock is not better then NovaSorc or Javazon are playing it wrong,
its far superior, it clear EVERYWHERE super fast, deals a ton of damage and the top end of the build is much higher then other classes.
For What certain classes do best it may still be behind, but overall its a much superior class.
Trav barbs will still clear travincal with more proficiency due to find item.
Javazon will clear faster cows due to the open field and the nature of their spell.
But nobody farm every other place like this class.

Warlock is better at any other map. Other then Travincal and cows. imo, to farm other places lock is better then the other classes.
I can clear the new Colossal ancients in about 40 seconds.
I havent torch farmed with mine yet, but i assume is just as fast.
