I realize now that this forum isn’t the right place for conversations about burnout or mental health.
I posted sincerely, and the sarcastic replies just confirm that the culture here isn’t built for that kind of discussion.
No hard feelings — I’ll take this topic somewhere more constructive.

Yes, have come to this conclusion a few times, then dumped all gear, then return and repeat. Gave away perm .08s thinking it would help stay away from the game. Didn't work.

With D2R at least the efforts of your grind don't poof away X amount of days. Will be there when you're back

The game is not the problem.
It's probably your work.
If you apply the same skillset you do with Diablo to your workplace you will likely succeed. The grind, hitting goals and targets, consistency, searching for the best results, durability to survive and grind etc. Those are all traits that are highly valued by companies.

I've come to the conclusion that video gaming, especially d2r and d2r rotw for me is not worth the grind, spending hours a day to get a dopamine fix for the newest
"level up" or terror zone, or some items that randomly drops. And I feel like the devs, make the game worse by adding harder to get items. They purposefully make it more addictive. All just for a dopamine fix.
I have had sleep and health problems from this, stopped caring about anything else. Stopped playing music and guitar, and in general just want my life back to how it was.
Just wondering if anyone else feels this way to and if so, would like to hear about it.

I always take the opportunity to buy the reeses eggs.
The medium sized ones, not the minis.

They have the perfect peanut butter to chocolate ratio in ANY Reeses.
It's the only time of year to obtain the perfect Reeses candy.
