jeeze you guys are low iqs, i am talking about hfreeze vs shock/fire and why freeze is suggested over those, all 3 activate amp

there is no reason freeze is better, in my mind. people probably think it offers protection from a pack with fanat and amp jumping you super quickly
however, the act bosses are immune to holy freeze/holy freeze cold damage, so the amp dmg curse cannot proc from the HF aura. However, the act bosses are NOT immune to HF/HS, meaning the amp curse can be casted almost instantly

The real answer is holy fire because of the highest aura radius among the 3 at level 12.

It does still proc amp, according to other users on jsp but I don’t use it personally, I use amp + convic cause I’m fire

it procs amp through the demon hitting the boss, not through the aura doing dmg. this takes longer

does it really matter if holy freeze doesn't hit act bosses? The demon still takes ~3 swings to apply amp on average anyway with 75% ctc and ~45% chance to hit. The holy freeze is still useful in general pvm, its still an extra line of defense if you disconnect or drop your mouse or get mana burned instantly to 0 or a bunch of dolls start running at you
I mean we had this whole thread a couple months ago about defiance vs holy freeze, and maybe there's some insane moon logic there as if most pvm damage that can actually kill you didn't ignore defense anyway, but we're talking about holy freeze's aoe slow vs {aura with 11% larger radius and hits act bosses} as the only tradeoff. There's no defensive bonus to holy fire, its just whether you want to chill everything or not.
