I had some fun with my echoing strike build but got bored of upgrading more and more because p8 was already easy on a budget, so I'm looking for another build

thinking about either a summon warlock cause I heard that lance lady from a5 is strong, or a nova sorc


1. Can a summon warlock clear p8?
2. What items does a self wield infi nova sorc need to be efficient enough to grind all content?

yeah a summon warlock can probably clear P8

Speed wise dunno, maybe a cleave goatman, a defiler, and your summoned demon lancer could do it relatively quickly, with a merc, you got a decent 4 man hit squad to command.

Cheaper you could go for crescent moon starting out, it really shines when you get a massive mana pool to regen quickly with your merc, survive ability goes up.

Keep in mind, you cant really go brain dead vs souls, they can and will kill you if you arent careful/paying attention.

depends on your definition of summon warlock, because the skills are pretty mutually exclusive between goatmen/tainted and bound+defiler, and blood boil is incredibly better than pure summons but you're basically playing a hammerdin with a 2nd merc at that point
if you're playing blood boil p8 you can clear pretty much all pvm as the fastest build in the game, only really matched by mosaic on nonladder, generally I was moving around faster than echoing strikes builds in the p8 tz games we were playing, but it is a few seconds slower against p8 tier 5 heralds- easily capable of killing them, but blood boil is slower against them, slow against baal and mini-ubers and incapable of uber primes / uber ancients whereas echoing strike does those easily.
if you're playing as a pure goatman or defiler or bound demon build, you should still be able to clear p8 content just about anywhere, but slowly.

isnt it kinda trash without enigma because i cant control my summons and they just run where they want to?

Death Mark

you have a skill that teleports your demon for next to zero mana cost, just a half second cooldown or so, and another that teleports both you and your demon (and actual teleport once you do have enigma)
it lets low budget glass builds clear enemies from long distance without putting yourself in harms way

That said its more of a question of what's "budget" because you can definitely clear p8 with a host of lower runewords and less expensive uniques like authority, flickering flame, ars baalos, a low roll mang song or cheaper weapon, +3 ammy, magefist, etc. You just won't be as fast as an enigma build but that's going to be true of any warlock relying on blade warp to get around
