Currently level 82 pure blizz sorc trying to farm Hell (Meph, cows, tz's if lucky with immunes, ancient tunnels).
Gear: double spirit, lore, stealth (for 105bp), chancies, rare rings/amu/boots. Prayer Merc: Insight partizan / cure / duriels shell
Sofar very unlucky finding upgrades, need to upgrade partizan to deal with immunes..

Cows feel pretty bad with Blizz, lots of cows staying alive by moving away from packs. Terror zones mostly very bad because of immunes. Only easy farm is Meph.

So I wonder if I should change to hybrid (like hydra/orb) to farm faster? I never played hybrid sorcs.

start new sorc on ladder expansion, farm there the old cold sunder and convert it to rotw...
u cant craft it like latent sunder, but hey u still got one to have no immunes anymore

Looking for advice on rotw, not gonna spend a lot of time to buiold a new sorc and farm specifically for a cold sunder.
I just wonder how strong a hybrid would be for my purposes and if hydra/orb would be best. Playing p1 max p3 probably in pubs.

Orb/meteor is the way and will expand your farming locations.

Stick to those three locations. Blizzard sorc is gg. Do ancient tunnels until you are level 85. That way, terror andy and terror mephisto can drop you every possible item in the game.

Farm only cows with zero magicfind. Any amount lowers your odds for a base. You will find an elite 4 socket polearm, and eventually an eth elite 4 socket polearm.

Do you spam Glacial spike between blizzards? The cold splash damage freezes adjacent targets, effectively shielding your merc and allowing you to actually spam blizzard.

Yeah I constantly do this.

So I'm not sure if you have this, but wielding a doom(-59 to enemy CR) is clutch. Also having a sunder is the best way to deal with cold immunes. My cold sorc hits -200 to enemy CR for non-immunes. For cold immunes I hit a -95 to enemy CR. Everything dies to me.

I made my cold sorc into a blizzard and orb one. I find the build to be alot funner and have easier crowd control. Blizzard and orb for packs. Blizzard and ice blast for single targets. I don't use ES. My level 94 sorc cold skills is as follow:
- Frozen orb = 20
- Blizzard = 20
- Ice bolt = 20
- Ice blast = 20
- glacial spike = 18
- cold mastery = 1
- frozen armor = 1

I wear COH and trangs gloves to offset sunder effects. I have max immunities in hell. Lmk if you have any questions.
