Can a request for Battle net tag be added to the list of needed items for the scam thread?

This will make it so blizzard accounts can be searchable in the scam thread for an added layer of security for in game trading. Maybe reduce the number of repeat scammers who make new jsp accounts while using the same blizzard account.

A stronger solution would be to have members add their bnet account name to jsp account but is less likely to happen.

If any part of this needs clarification, please respond and I will try my best answer.

Thanks for the info.

I am genuinely curious to know how bent names is causing scams. If it truly is then the partial fix would only make scammers info public to protect the non-scammers.

I have of course been there considering I'm recommending adding a step. Thanks though.

Seems to be a misunderstanding.
SA posts are already publicly available. Anyone can look at the required screenshots. The only difference is making the name of only the scammer searchable.

Yes, the less likely to happen part. Additionally, someone being searchable goes both ways. someone contacts you, you search them on jsp too to confirm it's actually them. And saying 90% of scams is because someone knows your gamertag seems like a reach considering a trade has to be desired then scammed. my bnet tag has been on my jsp for years and ive never had someone randomly reach out to me from jsp.

Long story short I am still not seeing how just knowing someone's account name can cause a scam. Telling me to read SA which is a thread of reported scams doesn't help unfortunately.

I do feel we are getting closer to the answer though where I might finally see where you're coming from. just need a little more help to understand.video url
