So is the trading forum "D2:R RotW Softcore Trading" the new spot to trade if u have the Warlock unlocked? before there was just a "softcore" tab..am i reading this right?

Well if you characters are in LOD version you stay in "softcore". If you convert them to Rotw then you trade in that section.

how do u convert them? sorry, i should know this after the decades of playing, but i've never just had a randomly new class pop up lol

The same way you convert a classic character to lod. now is an extra step from lod to rotw.
You have to buy the DLC first though
